Short- or longer-term hangarage at the Arcus base, subject to aircraft suitability and available space.
Aircraft management · UK wide
Owning a helicopter should create freedom, not a growing list of jobs to coordinate.
Arcus provides practical aircraft-management support shaped around the helicopter, the owner and the way it is used. From hangarage and maintenance planning to insurance coordination, refuelling and pilot support, we can bring the moving parts together through one familiar team.
Support built around the owner
There is no fixed management package because no two owners or aircraft are the same. Some owners need help with a handful of practical tasks. Others want Arcus to take a broader role in keeping the aircraft organised and ready for use.
We start by understanding the aircraft, its current arrangements and how often and where the owner expects to fly. From there, we agree a sensible scope of support.

What aircraft management can include
Short- or longer-term hangarage at the Arcus base, subject to aircraft suitability and available space.
Helping plan and coordinate maintenance requirements with appropriately qualified providers, so dates, aircraft availability and owner priorities are considered together.
Practical liaison and administration around the aircraft’s insurance arrangements. Insurance advice, placement and cover remain subject to the relevant broker or insurer.
Coordinating fuel around planned use. Nottingham Airport carries both Jet A1 and Avgas, and Arcus can arrange rotors-running refuelling for turbine aircraft on Jet A1, with airport crew available around the clock given notice.
Access to suitably qualified pilots from the Arcus network, subject to aircraft type, pilot recency, availability, documentation and insurance approval.
Planning the flying itself: routes, permissions, landing arrangements and the practical detail that sits behind a trip going smoothly.
A consistent point of contact to help coordinate the practical requirements that surround ownership.
Plans change and weather turns. Owners can reach Arcus outside office hours when something about the aircraft or a trip needs sorting.
Aircraft on the Arcus fleet
A helicopter that sits still still costs money. Where it suits the owner, Arcus can put the aircraft onto its own fleet, so it earns while you are not flying it — used for training and self-fly hire by pilots we know, from the hangar it already lives in.
The benefit usually works twice. There is the income from the flying itself, and being part of a managed fleet can also bring more competitive rates on insurance and other running costs than a single privately owned aircraft tends to attract on its own.
Whether it suits depends on the type, its condition and hours, the maintenance arrangements and insurance approval — and on how much you want to fly it yourself. We will be straight with you about whether your aircraft is a sensible fit.
Not tied to one supplier
Arcus does not work to a fixed list of partners. We use a range of maintenance, engineering, insurance and fuel providers across the UK and choose between them for each aircraft, so owners get the right combination of price and service rather than whoever happens to be nearest to us.
Arcus coordinates that work; it is not the maintenance organisation, and insurance advice, placement and cover remain with the relevant authorised broker or insurer.
One point of contact
Aircraft ownership often involves several different people and providers. Arcus can act as the practical link between the owner, pilot, maintenance provider, insurer or broker and the aircraft’s base, within the scope agreed with the owner.
The aim is simple: clear communication, fewer loose ends and an aircraft that is organised around the way its owner wants to use it.

Where your aircraft is based
Aircraft management is available across the UK. In practice it works best for helicopters based with us at Nottingham Airport, where the aircraft is close at hand and hangarage, maintenance planning and pilot support can all be coordinated together.
If your helicopter is based elsewhere, tell us where and how you use it and we will be straightforward about what we can usefully take on.

Arcus can help coordinate maintenance with appropriately qualified providers. The exact scope and provider will be agreed for the individual aircraft.
Arcus is not tied to one supplier. We use a range of providers around the UK and choose for each aircraft, with the aim of getting owners the best combination of price and service rather than defaulting to the same name every time.
No. Management is available UK wide, although it works best for aircraft based with us, where hangarage, maintenance planning and pilot support can be coordinated together. Tell us where the aircraft lives and we will be honest about what we can usefully take on.
Arcus can assist with practical coordination and liaison. Insurance advice, placement, terms and cover are provided by the relevant authorised broker or insurer.
Yes, where a suitably qualified and current pilot is available and the aircraft documentation and insurance arrangements permit it.
Potentially, yes. Arcus can put suitable owner aircraft onto its own fleet for training and self-fly hire, which generates income and can bring more competitive insurance and running costs through being part of a managed fleet. Suitability depends on the type, its condition, the maintenance arrangements and insurance approval.
Yes, for turbine aircraft on Jet A1 — rotors-running refuelling is not possible on Avgas, so piston aircraft shut down. Both fuels are available at Nottingham Airport and airport crew can be available around the clock given notice. Owners can also run an account and settle up afterwards rather than paying on the day.
Yes. The service is built around the aircraft and owner rather than a fixed package.
Yes. Flight planning is part of what management can include — routes, permissions and landing arrangements worked out in advance so the trip itself is straightforward.
Yes. Owners can contact Arcus around the clock when something about the aircraft or an upcoming trip needs dealing with.
